States Suing EPA over Global Warming
In April 2007 EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) was sued by officials of 18 states. They are suing EPA over the inactivity in the Global Warming threat. The EPA’s failure to act in the face of these incontestable dangers is a shameful dereliction of duty,” Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley said. The petition wants to have the government force EPA to act within 60 days on Global Warming. EPA says that they want to start a good foundation so they can lay down laws restricting carbon emissions. But others say that they are standing in the way of others efforts. Some officials are saying that the inactivity of EPA has the window of opportunity closing a little more each day for a solution.
I can agree with this article because the people have not seen much action being made by EPA. The carbon emissions have been increasing at a steady pace for a while and there has been little improvement. This improvement has been made by people who have been changing their lifestyles rather than mass changes within the populace.

Chris–
Instead of agreeing or disagreeing with an article, you should discuss how it might be useful or not useful to your documentary segment.
Some questions to get you started:
What aspects of the EPA would you want to inform people about?
Do you need to do more research about the EPA?
Were there policies that you learned about?
Can you find out what the reaction has been to this petition–you begin to go into it, but it seems like more people would have weighed in.
